
GRIZZLY TABLE SAW
The Grizzly Table Saw is a 10" 3 HP cabinet table saw designed for heavy-duty use, featuring a riving knife, a Biesemeyer-style fence for accuracy, and a large cast-iron stop for stability. It is known for having plenty of power, including a rip capacity of around 30" to the right of the blade.
This machine can be used when you become a subscription member at Cedar Valley Makers. We offer a required machine orientation that is required before first use, and that orientation is avilable anytime as a refresher for free.
This tool/equipment does require the use of safety glasses. Please review this page for the Pre-Operation Checklist and the Post-Operation Checklist.

Maker skills:
Utilize core safety protocols, making fundamental cuts (rip and crosscuts), and utilize jigs for precision and advanced techniques.

Pre-Operation Checklist:

Read the operation manual and ensure that you know how to safely operate the equipment

Inspect the equipment to make sure the saw is in good working order

If not, be sure to fix it OR unplug it, tag it, and report it

If your fingers will be within 4 inches of the blade, visit the safety cart for push sticks/safety aides

Make sure the beginning and ending material will be well supported

If not, orient the roller stands to provide needed support

Do not use rip fence for cross cuts. Instead, use the miter saw, or cross cut or miter fixtures and jigs
-
Wobbly, less than flat, or salvaged material should be prepared for the table saw - which should include sectioning with hand tools and checking for metal with a metal detector
Post-Operation Checklist:

Ensure the blade is at 90 degrees and in lowered position

Use the dust collection remote to manually start the dust collection
-
Clean-up all saw dust and leave it better than you found it

Ensure the riving knife or blade guard is installed for rip cuts
